Lemon Water

My husband calls me a Water Princess - The reason, because I am so Picky about the water I drink.
I do Not like the taste of the tap water where we live, nor have I in the last few places so we have gone to a refillable Water Cooler.  One of those that you refill the 5 gallon bottles, and it dispenses either Hot or Cold water. Great Right :) Well it gets "worse"  I am picky about where we refill the water, and the taste.
It can take us trying EVERY water refilling place in the area (it took up to 6 different places before I found the best in one place)

Drinking water is so important, I just have a thing about it has to taste good too :)
Plus you can save a ton of money drinking water instead of soda, especially at a restaurant.

I have always loved Lemon in my water, first it is good for you, second makes it taste better ;)
Most times when we go out to a sit down restaurant I will get a water, some times they don't have lemon for water, or the wedge they send is just - Tiny.  So I bring my lemon with me, no not a fresh lemon, my lemon oil.

11 Benefits of Lemon Water

In the morning I start my day with a glass of water and few drops of Grapefruit oil, then through out the day a glass or 2 of Water with Lemon Oil.

In the picture you will see not only my Oil Bottles, but that little amber glass one, yep that is the one that I keep in my purse. It is the perfect size and so easy to just pull out and use :)

Again it is VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT To ONLY Use Therapeutic Grade Oils
Read the Label if it says for external use only - DO NOT USE in water you are drinking!!!

Cut open 2 tea bags and pour in
add
4 Tablespoons Oatmeal
3 Tablespoons Epson Salt
3 Drops of Essential Oil - Again PLEASE Only Use Therapeutic Grade

Mix all together in bowl
Carefully pour into bag
Make a nice and tight bow - and it is ready :)

I store mine in a air tight container

To use

Run Hot water and drop in :)  Let Steep for a bit
When I get in - I roll it around in my hands and squeeze
Making sure I get all the goodness out :)

Enjoy!!!

Sugar + Salt = Sleepy Dust

I am not sure about you, but there are some nights that my brain just will not turn off!
I am laying in bed and just want to rest, yet that peace eludes me

I LOVE Pinterest and one night when I just could not sleep, I stayed up all night pinning random things. While on the everything page I noticed a pin for Magic Sleepy Dust, and took a peak.
Here is a link to the original post Sleepy Dust

At first I was so sad, I did not have the ingredients on hand, but it looked interesting so I wrote out my grocery list and decided why not try. :)
I had to go to our Natural Grocery Store (Good Earth) to get the Sucant, so while I was there I picked up the other ingredients.
Honestly this is the most expensive project I have done, BUT it will make a LOT!!! Plus great to use in other recipes :)

Here are the ingredients you will need

5 Tablespoons Organic Sugar Cane
1 Tablespoon Sucant
2 Teaspoons Real Sea Salt

Mix all together and you are good to go.

To Use - Take a pinch and let devolve under you tongue - Sometimes it takes a few pinches to help.

This does not always work, but even on the nights it doesn't it is still a yummy moment :)

I tripled this recipe for the crystal bowl I have on my bed side table, I use it  few nights a week and am so glad I found it :)

I hope it helps you as well - Enjoy!

Oils to Help my Dog's Paws

I have a beautiful Pembroke Welsh Corgi - She is by far the princess of the house, we are just her people to do and she desires, and we have excepted that role :)

For as long as we have had her (5 years) She has had this issue of licking her front paws, it drives me nuts.

I did some research to see what we could do to help her

I originally tried this with just the lavender oil and it really did not help,
once I added the Peace and Calming it worked like a charm!!
I have had to reapply about twice a day - But SO Worth it :)

Body Mist

I found this beautiful Black and White Atomizer at an antique store in San Antonio. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it, it is such a sexy bottle ;)

I wanted to make a body mist to fill it, something that was refreshing!

You will need
A spray bottle or atomizer
Witch Hazel
Distilled Water
Essential Oil

I filled the bottle with distilled water and poured it into a measuring cup to see how much fit in the bottle.
I then poured 2/3rds back in, and filled the rest with witch hazel
(Remember to leave room to put the atomizer back in)

I then added 6 drops of my Favorite Essential Oil - Peppermint :)

It refreshes and helps a bit with my head :)

Massage Oil

My husband is in the Air Force and has weekly PT (physical training) with his flight.
He came home a few nights ago and was in so much pain from the work out they did, I felt so bad for him, his legs were killing him. I asked him if he wanted a massage he said maybe later. Still in pain the next day I asked again if I could give him a massage, again the answer was maybe later. Again the next day, still in pain, I put my foot down and told him I was going to give him a massage and if it did not work I would back off.

I had a little bottle - perfect for a small batch :)

Filled the bottle to the neck with Sweet Almond Oil
Then added the Essential Oils :)
3 drops of PanAway
2 drops of Peppermint

As soon as I started working on his legs you could feel the difference, and his breathing started to become more even. Within minutes he said they were feeling better, and by the time I was done, he got up and was walking normal again :)

Invisible Gum

You will notice that a lot (not all but a lot) of the posts I will do are about Pampering and Migraine Pain Relief, I deal with Migraine Pain on a daily basis and when I find unique ideas to help - I am all over it!

I saw this one and thought it was a cool and unique idea so I tried it :)
Here is a link to the original Post - Invisible Gum

I loved the idea of having a breath freshener that did not have any weird ingredients, and best of all something that would fit perfectly in my purse / wristlet.

Here is what you need
Peppermint Essential Oil  (ONLY USE Therapeutic Grade Oils)
Dark colored glass bottle with dropper
(I also had a smaller one as well - to fit in my wristlet)
Carrier Oil
(the blog post calls for V6 which I did not have so I used Avocado Oil)

Fill your Glass Bottle with dropper 3/4 of the way with your Carrier Oil
Add 10 - 20 drops of oil - To Taste (I added 20 to mine)
Screw on the top and Shake!!!

Use as needed to Freshen your mouth :)

I have used this a few times and not only does it Freshen my mouth it helps me with my minor headaches :)

I LOVE PEPPERMINT Oil!!!! :)
